Learning Support Teacher

Linda Sumares holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Family and Relationship Counselling, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education specialising in Early Childhood Development and the Foundation Phase. She has been teaching for over 10 years, most recently as a home room teacher at an Edmund Rice school in Pretoria, South Africa, working with learners from 3 years old through to Grade 3.

Linda is an adaptable and creative teacher who strives to cater to each child’s learning style. She enjoys finding innovative ways to help learners grasp new concepts and uses their unique interests to keep them engaged in lessons. With a special passion for learner support, Linda Sumares believes in building strong relationships with her students to create a positive and nurturing classroom environment.

Fun Facts

Beyond the classroom, Linda is a proud mother of four and enjoys crocheting and going for walks, particularly while exploring her new home in Madeira.
