Stephen Chuan

Mandarin Teacher

Stephen Chuan, with a degree in Electronics Engineering from Deakin University in Australia, spent many years working as an engineer for multinational companies. However, his passion for education led him to switch careers and become a Mandarin teacher.

After several successful years of teaching in the IB curriculum, he as a Mandarin Teacher in ISS Madeira, has recently taken on an exciting new role as the Head of Language Acquisition.

Stephen Lee has always had a passion for the great outdoors. While he once enjoyed jogging, he now finds joy in hiking and cycling. These days, you’ll often find him exploring scenic trails or cycling through beautiful landscapes. Each year, Chuan eagerly anticipates travelling to discover new destinations, keeping his adventurous spirit alive!
